The students in Student Council organized a food drive for the Backpack Place at Fern bluff. They created posters and advertised on the KATZ News broadcast. They collected family sized cereal, individual apple sauces, and Ramen noodles during the month of March. Then they traveled to the Backpack Place last Saturday. Student Council and their leader, Suzanne O’Brien, spent the morning unloading the generous donations from our Fern Bluff family which totaled $172.64! They also assembled 275 food kits for students in need across RRISD.
