Fern Bluff’s S.W.A.T. team (Students Working to Advance Technology) had the opportunity to present at the latest staff meeting. A few S.W.A.T. team members created, presented, and facilitated the whole team’s plan for Fern Bluff’s Hour of Code and why they felt it was important for the whole school to participate. The students collaborated on Google Slides and created a presentation that explained what the Hour of Code is, the resources they will use, and why it is important. They then helped staff members practice coding on Code.org. These students really showed off their leadership skills. Fern Bluff’s Hour of Code will be celebrated December 5-15 in classrooms and our Maker Space in the library.
